Solar Eclipse!

Fair warning, this post is just an excuse to post some solar eclipse pics, which I was stunned to actually have a view of from my window (I had planned on going to a better vantage point to see it, but the whole 9 a.m. thing scuppered that!). In any case I ended up having a decent view, there was intermittent cloud cover, which worked in my favour when it dispersed because not having any fancy schmancy camera lens to directly photograph the eclipse made taking pictures of it in full sun impossible.

It was quite eery and still and breathtaking...and so fast! I remember eclipses taking longer when I was a kid?! Did anyone else get a good view of it? I think we were quite lucky in Aberdeen!

  1. Wow those are so beautiful. Aberdeen is where my Great Grandfather was from and I hope to visit some day. Perhaps a solar eclipse can be arranged then. ;-)

    1. Thank you! Weirdly I have no Scottish relations that I know of, but I ended up here anyway (married one)!
